Safety on btw.bio: child protection, reporting and your privacy

Zero tolerance for child abuse, an age warning on adult links, how to report illegal content, and what we do with your data.

RYazanroni

btw.bio is a place to show who you are. That only works if it is safe, for the people who make pages and for everyone who visits them. This post explains the rules we hold ourselves to and how to reach us when something is wrong.

Child safety comes first

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any sexualization of minors.

  • Such content is removed as soon as we find it and the account is closed.
  • We report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the competent authorities.
  • Using btw.bio to contact, groom, threaten or exploit minors is forbidden, and so are links to places that do.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use btw.bio, or older if the law of your country requires it. We close accounts that we learn belong to younger children.
  • Child safety reports are handled before anything else. We keep the evidence the law requires and work with the authorities.

How to report: write to contact@btw.bio with "Child safety" in the subject, a link to the profile or file, and what you saw. Do not download, copy or send us the material itself. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.

Adult content

btw.bio is open to everyone from 13 up, so adult content stays behind a clear line.

  • Our image and text host never allows sexual content or nudity.
  • Links to adult (18+) sites show an age warning before they open. OnlyFans links always get it, and when someone adds a website or a custom link, we ask them whether it is 18+.

Reporting anything illegal

Anyone can tell us about content they believe is illegal, with or without an account.

  1. E-mail contact@btw.bio with "Illegal content" in the subject. Files on our host also have a report button on their page.
  2. Include the exact link, why you believe it is illegal and, if you know it, which law.
  3. We confirm that we received it, review it quickly and remove or restrict the content when it is illegal or breaks our Terms of Service.
  4. We tell you what we decided, and we tell the person whose content was removed, with the reason. Both sides can ask us to look again within 6 months.

We also answer valid requests from the authorities and report content that suggests a threat to someone's life or safety.

One person, one chance

When an account is suspended for breaking our rules, the person behind it may not come back. Any other account they use or create to return is suspended too, for ban evasion.

Comments on profiles

What visitors write on other people's pages goes through a filter for insults, swearing, spam and links, in several languages. Page owners can turn comments off, keep them private, or delete them at any time.

You keep the rights to everything you upload. If something on btw.bio uses your work without permission, send a notice to contact@btw.bio with "Copyright" in the subject. We review every complete notice, remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers. Content removed by mistake can be restored after a counter-notice.
